Previous lichenometric dating of young geomorphological forms in the Tatra Mountains has been hindered by differences determination initial colonisation fresh rock surfaces Rhizocarpon geographicum lichen. In order to determine precisely time needed for first thalli appear on newly exposed surfaces, two experimental sites were created 2013. The results from these compared with measurements taken boulders debris formed a 2013 flow. 2018, largest measured within and flow area reached size approximately 2 mm. Based this, was determined be 5 ± 1 years, which is about half period previously described literature.
